The contractor for Brazil’s first waste-to-energy incinerator, located in Barueri, Brazil, is Power Construction Corp. of China Ltd (PowerChina). They secured the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for the facility, which will incinerate municipal solid waste to generate electricity. PowerChina’s subsidiary, SEPCO1 Electric Power Construction Co. Ltd, will provide the technology for incineration and decontamination.
